Two Bristol based conservation organisations - Ape Alliance and University of Bristol Roots and Shoots (UBRAS) - have come together to put on a fabulous night of entertainment set in the grounds of Clifton High School on Sunday 15th October from 5pm.  The evening includes a screening of the 1976 Dino De Laurentiis version of King Kong powered by the Electric Pedals human powered cinema.  20 bikes will generate the power to bring King Kong to life in Cornwallis Crescent Gardens.

The evening kicks off with an introduction by TV presenter and zoologist Dr Ben Garrod telling us more about the controversial history of apes in film and how this event will support the important work to end the ape trade.  The funds raised at #KingKongClifton will go towards saving orphaned chimpanzees in Liberia (and you’ll be able to see a premiere of the short film about them on the night) as well as the Ape Alliance - a coalition of over 90 ape conservation organisations worldwide.

King Kong sized foot long hot dogs will be on sale thanks to the event sponsors The Clifton Sausage and we have free popcorn for everyone!

Amazing raffle including Spa and lunch for two at The Lido, unique great ape artwork by Tina Beck, Dinner at The Clifton Sausage and much more.
