Professor Richard Leakey GRASP lecture at the RGS

31 May 2007 (Thu)
12:00 -

"Climate change and the future of Great Apes. Can anything be done?"

31st May 2007.

As one of the foremost authorities on wildlife and nature conservation and former Director of the Kenya Wildlife Service, Professor Richard Leakey will continue in his endeavour to educate about the dangers of environmental degradation. Professor Leakey will discuss how Great Apes and most tropical primates (including ourselves) will have increasing pressures on their survival as a result of climate change. Can we predict probable consequences far enough ahead to enable the conservation authorities to take steps now to avert disasters?

Doors open at 6.30pm.

Tickets are £15. Please send a cheque with s.a.e. to Orangutan Foundation, 7 Kent Terrace, London NW1 4RP.
