Bristol University Volunteer Programme
Ape Alliance runs a university volunteer programme working with biology and zoology undergraduates and postgraduates at Bristol University Biology Department and vet school. Student volunteers have the opportunity to be involved in the forefront of ape conservation volunteering a few hours a week, researching news and scientific articles, receiving training in cataloguing and editing still and video footage of apes, organising and volunteering at events and much more.
GAFI Volunteers
Events such as a pedal powered cinema viewing of an ape movie, an abseil in which the chairman, Ian Redmond, took part in, the Bristol 10K run and many cake sales and raffles have been a small part of the success in 2012.

Event Volunteers
Volunteers come from all backgrounds, all to help raise awareness of Ape Alliance. They have helped in the Stroud Festival of Nature, Bristol Zoo’s 175 year celebrations and at the very successful Hope4Apes event in November 2010.
