The Orangutan Working Group is concerned with the protection of orangutans - Pongo pygmaeus. Orangutans are threatened by the destruction of their habitat in Borneo and Sumatra. The rainforest is being destroyed by illegal logging, palm oil plantations, agriculture and fires. The following organisations are involved in the Orangutan Working Group.
